WHERE WE ARE

Spots

Spot 1 - Maronia

30 kilometres southeast of Komotini through the provincial road network, you can reach Kagkeles beach. It lies under the shade of Mount Ismaros and is only a few kilometres away from the village of Maronia.

Go down the stairs leading to Kagkeles beach bar and take a few steps to the right to find KOUPI watersports spot. We have built a shady canopy with comfy benches to hang out and enjoy the view of the Thracian Sea, with Samothraki island emerging in the background.

The wild beauty of the rough terrain, the majestic red rocks coming out of the sea, the white and grey pebbles on the beach and the clear, deep waters set up the right scenery to enjoy watersports offered by KOUPI. The spot is ideal for nature and adventure enthusiasts and for seekers of serenity as well

Apart from Kagkeles, the coastline is full of astonishing surroundings that cannot be easily revealed. It takes effort, it takes KOUPI (which means “paddle” in Greek).

So come and meet us to enjoy refreshing rides by kayak or SUP on the crystal blue waters, to plan your  customised excursion at sea or at land or to just glide at your own pace with a paddle boat!

The spot is open from May to September, all day, every day. In case you need beverages, coffee or snacks, you can buy them from the nearby Kagkeles beach bar. If you are not very fond of lounge chairs, you can bring your umbrella, cooler and picnic and chill near KOUPI spot.

PS: Don’t forget to bring your diving mask! The seabed here is amazing!

Spot 2 - Fanari

Only 27 kilometres away from Komotini by car through the provincial road  leading to Ksanthi, you can easily and quickly reach the busy strands of Fanari and Arogi.

Go past the camp site and after a few metres, just before the perfectly-organised West Side beach bar, you will find our second KOUPI watersports spot.

The blue flag-awarded beach is easily accessible to all.You can park your car at any parking lot along the road. There is plenty of space and it is available for free.

Endless golden sands and blue shallow waters offer the opportunity to children to play safe and carefree while adults relish the summer sun and sea breeze on a  beach bar lounge chair or under the shade of their own, private umbrella

Due to its accessibility and safety, the beach is the most popular in the region, with many visitors especially at the high-season weekends of July and August.

So here we are, in cosmopolitan Fanari, since 2019. Come and hit the water to play on our paddle boats with friends and family, to learn how to balance and paddle properly on a SUP or to enjoy a leisurely ride from our spot to Iulia beach on our already-known tours.

We are expecting you under our bright yellow tent to have a friendly talk and plan your next customised excursion at land or at sea!
